Chief's Message

I am honored to introduce you to the official web site of the Warrenville Fire Protection District. We are a combination fire department consisting of sixty full-time, part-time and paid-on-call firefighters serving the greater Warrenville area, which includes the City of Warrenville and portions of unincorporated Wheaton and Naperville. The Warrenville Fire Protection District is a full service first responder fire department covering 18 square miles in the western suburbs of Chicago.

I trust as you browse through this website you will find it very helpful and a valuable resource as a citizen, business owner or a just as a visitor. Please do not hesitate to contact anyone listed with any questions that you may have.

The Warrenville Fire Protection District was formally established in 1939 with a proud history of protecting and caring for the Illinois Acorn City. As you might imagine, the Warrenville Fire Protection District has witnessed many changes within the community and subsequently as an organization over these past 75 years of its existence, but the one constant is the unwavering dedication and commitment to serving our community. The mission of the Warrenville Fire Protection District is to the protection of life and property. With this thought in mind we must have thorough training and drills, to keep developing our intelligence, knowledge and skills so that we continue to be competent and responsible paramedics and firefighters.

As Fire Chief, I have the privilege of serving a great community and working alongside some of the most talented individuals in the fire service. The highly trained and professional men and women who serve as Warrenville firefighters provide an "All Hazard" response to over 1600 calls annually, which includes structure fires, medical emergencies, vehicle accidents and hazardous materials release.

The Warrenville Fire Protection District Headquarters is strategically located in the central portion of the fire district and is staffed 24/7 with firefighters who mostly are cross-trained as paramedics. This fire station also serves as a community safety resource and is available for blood pressure checks, CPR training, first-aid training along with firehouse tours.

As part of community risk reduction, our department's number one goal has always been to prevent tragedy from happening rather than respond to it after it has occurred. We are proud of the extensive fire prevention and life-safety education programs that we have been able to provide to our youth. Business inspections and other safety programs encompass our entire community in order to keep it a safe place to work and live. I trust you will find this website helpful and informative whether you are looking for contact information or wish to learn more about your fire department. We will continue to prepare ourselves for evolving threats to our citizens through our commitment by providing exceptional emergency services, public education and training. By doing this, we will be able to meet the broad spectrum of possible emergency needs. We look forward to serving you and the citizens within the Warrenville Fire Protection District. Thank you for taking the time to become familiar with us.
