Classes and Programs

To serve the citizens in the community, the Warrenville Fire District is offering CPR classes and re-certification classes. The description, cost (including book), and dates are listed below.

Heartsaver CPR/AED: This American Heart Association one-day class is presented for the lay person (non-healthcare). This class will review one person Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for infants, children, and adults. The class also includes instruction on the operation and use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED) fo the child and adult victim. Upon completion of the course, students will receive a Heart Saver CPR/AED Certification Card valid for two years.
Cost: $45.00 Residents, $55.00 Non-Residents

Heartsaver First Aid: This American Heart Association one-day class is presented for the lay person (non-healthcare). This class will review how to care for and recognize victims of sudden illness and injuries. Upon competion of the course, students will receive a Heart Saver First Aid card valid for two years.
Cost: $35.00 Residents, $40.00 Non-Residents

BLS for Providers:This American Heart Association class will cover one/two rescuer CPR for adults, children and infants, choking, and rescue breathing. The use of an AED is presented with hands-on practice. Students who sucessfully pass the written and skills tests will receive a Healthcare Provider Certification Card that is valid for two years.
Cost: $45.00 Residents/$55.00 Non-Residents

This is the American Heart Association, on-line, written test (current fee applies - approx. $35). If you choose to go this route rather than take the full class, we will administer the practical test here and issue you a card on successful completion, at our Fire Station Headquarters, by appointment for a separate $25.00 fee.
