30W100 Block of Estes St.

WARRENVILLE, Ill. — At approximately 09:36 am on Tuesday April 13, 2021, the DuPage Public Safety Communications Center (DUCOMM) received a 911 call from a resident reporting a house “engulfed in flames” in the 30W100 Block of Estes St. in Warrenville IL. A structure fire response was dispatched sending fire units from the Warrenville Fire Protection District and surrounding communities.

Warrenville Fire companies arrived on scene within six minutes of the initial 911 call and reported a one story single family residential structure with heavy fire showing from the roof of the building. Crews confirmed that no occupants were still in the residence and that neighboring structures were not affected by the fire. Crews initially attempted an offensive interior attack, but fire conditions fed by heavy winds caused a transition to a defensive exterior operation.

The fire was under control within one hour, however, units remained on scene for several more hours to overhaul and completely extinguish the fire.

The Warrenville Fire Protection District was assisted on scene by the Naperville Fire Department, the Winfield, West Chicago, Lisle Woodridge, York Center, and Bloomingdale Fire Protection Districts as well as the Warrenville Police Department and City of Warrenville representatives. Utilities were controlled by Nicor Gas and Commonwealth Edison Co. and The DuPage County Fire Investigation Task Force assisted with the fire investigation.

No firefighters or civilians were injured as a result of this fire. The cause of the fire was undetermined at the time of this release.
