Fire Chief Kevin O’Hare Earns Prestigious Chief Fire Officer and Chief Training Officer Designations
The Warrenville Fire Protection District is proud to announce that Fire Chief Kevin O’Hare has earned the internationally recognized Chief Fire Officer (CFO) designation from the Commission on Professional Credentialing. The designation was officially conferred on July 6, 2026, recognizing Chief O’Hare’s demonstrated excellence in executive leadership, professional development, education, and service to the fire and emergency services profession.
In addition to earning the CFO designation, Chief O’Hare recently achieved the Chief Training Officer (CTO) designation—an accomplishment held by fewer than 400 fire service professionals worldwide. Together, these credentials reflect an exceptional commitment to professional excellence, organizational leadership, and the continued advancement of the fire service.
Both designations are earned through a rigorous voluntary credentialing process that evaluates candidates on executive experience, education, leadership, professional contributions, community involvement, and technical competence. Applicants must also complete an extensive peer review and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional growth and ethical leadership.
The Warrenville Fire Protection District congratulates Chief O’Hare on these significant achievements. His dedication to lifelong learning and professional excellence strengthens the District’s mission of providing exceptional emergency services and ensuring the highest level of service to the Warrenville community.
